Many peoples are trying to do research and find the hidden facts and mysteries of miracle places in the world. Some of the most mysterious places in the world are Underwater Waterfall, Zhangjiajie National Forest Park, Richat Structure, The Haukadalur Valley, Naica Mine, and Son. Today we are going to know about some of the miracles and mysterious places which are still unknown to the world:

  1. Zhangjiajie Mountains, China  

✔ Zhangjiajie Mountains is a National Forest Park which is also known as “Hunan Zhnagjiajie National Forest Park” which is located in Zhangjiajie, Hunan Province of China. The overall area of this forest is 4,810 hectares(11,900).

✔ This park was first time recognized by the government of China in 1982. And, also it was officially recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1992.

✔ This park is also sometimes known as Zhangjiajie UNESCO Global Geo-park. ✔ It is also famous for its unique landforms and is also believed that its special rock strata have undergone millennia of movement and gravity collapses caused by water erosion in the subtropical climate.

✔ There is also a mysterious mountain called Tianzi Mountain that is located in the northern part of the Wulingyan Scenic Area in Hunan Province that covers an area of 16550 acres. According to the Chinese Etymology, Tianzi means “The son of Heaven”.

✔ It is believed that Zhang Liang, a famed strategist of the Western Han Dynasty founded Zhangjiajie Mountain between 206 BC to 24 AD. The old name of Zhangjiajie was Qingyan before.

✔ The nickname of Zhangjiajie Mountain is “Avatar Mountain”. According to the Chinese Etymology, Zhangjiajie means “Home to the Zhang Family”. Some of the animals that we can find at this National Forest Park are the macaques, the sumen sheep, the pangolin, the black bear, the giant lynx, and the otter. the forest musk, the finches, and so on.

✔ Zhangjiajie Mountain is the perfect place for trekking and thrill. Zhangjiajie Mountain is composed of quartz sandstone. The Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon Glass Bridge is also known as the longest and the highest pedestrian glass bridge in the world.

✔ This pedestrian glass bridge is located in Zhangjiajie Mountain which was established in August 2016. This area is now being governed by the Wulingyan Scenic and Historic Interest Area.

  2. Richat Structure  

✔ Richat Structure, also known as the “Blue Eye of Sahara” is a geological formation in the Maur Adrar Desert in the African country of Mauritania.

✔ It is also considered one of the most mysterious places in the world. This place is also known as the “Eye of Sahara”. This place was discovered in June 1965 by two American astronauts McDivitt and White during the Gemini 4 Space Mission.

✔ It is believed that this place was caused by the process of geological uplift followed by erosion from wind and water.

✔ It is believed that the Sahara was not desert before there were a large number of trees and grasslands 5,000 to 10,000 years ago. While visiting this desert we cannot notice this Human Eye Structure also known as Richat Structure but we can see this structure clearly from the Spaceship.

✔ This place is also listed in IUGS’s ( International Union of Geological Sciences) Geological Heritage Sites. Richat Structure formed altogether 2.6 million years ago. According to the ancient Greek Philosopher Plato.

✔ It is believed that this place was a part of the Island that was covered by water and this place was a beautiful city with a lot of greenery and natural view but later on because of more pollution and environmental degradation. It was later transformed into a desert.

✔ It is believed that this place was a beautiful town millions of years ago. As scientists are researching this place many people want to know that this place can be again converted into green land after thousand years ago.

✔ According to Islamic Etymology, Richat Structure is a prominent circular geological feature in the Sahara’s Adrar Plateau, near Ouadane, west-central Mauritania, Northwest Africa. Sahara was also considered underwater 50 to 100 million years ago. According to the two Canadian geologists.

✔ This structure was altogether 100 million years ago and the rings of multiple colors indicate the various types of rock that have been consumed at different rates over time.

✔ The Richat Structure is made up of Igneous and Sedimentary Rocks. Due to this mystery, this place is also an attractive destination in Africa.

  3. Lake Retba  

✔ Lake Retba is a mysterious lake that is located in West Africa. It is also sometimes called Lac Rose. According to the African Etymology Lac Rose means “Pink lake”.

✔ The color of the water in this lake is pink due to the presence of Dunaleilla Salina algae( It is a type of halophile unicellular green algae especially found in hypersaline environments, such as salt lakes and salt evaporation ponds).

✔ It is also known as a high level of salt content, up to 40% in some areas. The color of this lake is strong from late January to early March. After the Flood that came in September 2022.

✔ It disrupted salt harvesting activities on the lake and also it caused the lake to lose its color, which hurt tourism. The overall surface area of this lake is 1.2 sq mi.

✔ This place is now under the consideration of UNESCO as a World Heritage Site. The algae present in this lake produce a red pigment that helps them to create or produce ATP(Adenosine Triphosphate).

✔ The color of this lake is visible from November to May and less visible from June to October (During the rainy season). The salt found in this lake is used by the fisherman to preserve fish in Africa.

✔ Each year altogether 38,000 tons of salt are harvested from, this lake which directly helps to boost the economic condition of the country. It is also considered the number-one producer of salt in Africa.

✔ It is also known as one of the most salty lakes in the world. Very few numbers of an organism are found in this lake. We can swim in this lake but we have to shower off quickly with fresh water because the salty water can dry out our skin.

✔ According to the African Etymology, it is believed that the water of this lake was fresh before. It is the only pink lake located in Africa. many people are still researching this lake. After the flood of September 2022, the number of visitors is decreasing day by day.

✔ It is also known as the most visited tourist destination in Africa. So, this place is considered one of the most important and mysterious places in the world.

  4. Haukadalur Valley, Iceland   

✔ Haukadalur Valley is a mysterious Island that is located in the North of Laugarvatn Lake in the South of Iceland. According to the etymology of Iceland Haukadalur means “hawk Dale” or “Valley of Hawk”.

✔ It was also known as Haukadalr Valley before. Haukadalur is famous in the world as home to some of the best-known sights in Iceland. This valley is famous for its beautiful sightseeing Geysers and other geothermal features.

✔ There are altogether more than 40 Geysers, mud pots, and hot springs located near this area. It is believed that this area was first mentioned in written sources around 1294.

✔ The biggest geysers in this area out of 40 geysers are Strokkur and Geysir. According to scientific research in this area, it has been claimed Strokkur is a dependable geyser and it erupts every 5 to 10 minutes whereas Geysir erupts very rarely nowadays. After the earthquake of 17 and 21 July, 2000 the geysers have been more activated.

✔ The best nearby attraction in this valley is Gulfoss Waterfall. Haukadalur Valley is also known as the part of “Golden Circle”. Due to the presence of Geysers in this area, it is considered a popular tourist destination since the 18th century.

✔ It is one of the most famous, visited, and important tourist destinations in Iceland. It is believed that the geysers located in this valley were formed after an earthquake in 1789. After the eruption of geysers the steam produced goes towards the sky as a cloud.

✔ The view of the cloudy eruption is very beautiful. Many people visit this place to see the cloudy view after the eruption of geysers. It is believed that geysers found in this place erupted with high pressure.

✔ The geysers found in this village are directly affected by the earthquake. We can see some signs of the eruption when it is about to erupt, we can see the boiling water while it is about to erupt. As the water present in these geysers is very hot we should stay within a marked area while it is about to erupt.

  5. Naica Mine  

✔ Naica Mine is a lead, zinc, and copper mine which is located in Naica in the municipality of Saucillo. Naica Mine, Mexico is also considered as one of the most mysterious places in the world.

✔ Naica Mine which is also sometimes known as the “Cave of Crystals” is exactly located in the Mexican State of Chihuahua. The crystalline area of Naica Mine, Mexico is owned by the world’s largest Silver producer called Industrias Penoles.

✔ Cave of Crystal is the main attraction of this city. Some of the natural crystallines found in this cave are Calcium Sulfate Dihydrate, Gypsum, and so on.

✔ The climatic condition inside this cave is 58°C (136°F) with 100% relative humidity. The Cave of Swords is also known as the second-largest chamber in the Naica Mine.

✔ It has been claimed that they are planning of installing an air-conditioning unit there for the deepest levels of the system.

✔ Tourists are not allowed to visit this place as it is very dangerous to them. One researcher is allowed to visit this place with proper precautions and preparations and they also need the special permission of the government to enter this cave.

✔ Naica Mine which is also known as the Cave of Crystals is also known as the largest underground spectacles on our planet.

✔ This place is just close to the border of the United States of America. While entering this place people are suggested to wear special heat-resistant suits equipped with respirators, very similar to space suits.

✔ The big challenge inside this cave is flooding and the water inside this cave is pumped out to avoid flooding. The cave of crystals is only allowed to visit with a properly guided person. The water present in this cave is heated by the underground magma chamber. The Cave of Crystals is altogether 26 million years old.

✔ It is believed that this Cave is formed by the underlying magmatic system. This cave is also sometimes known as “Giant Cave Crystal”. A large number of researchers are doing research in this place to explore the unexplored facts and mysteries of this place.

✔ The largest crystal found in this cave is “Giant Selenite Crystals” which is 11.40 meters (37.4 ft), with a volume of about 5 cubic meters (180 cu ft), and an estimated mass of 12 tonnes.

✔ The gypsum found in this cave is used as a filler in the paper and textile industries. The air inside this cave is acidic which is very harmful to harmful.

✔ The water inside this cave is rich in Calcium Sulfate. So, this place is considered one of the most mysterious, important, and famous attractions in the world.
